Rolling Fields of Germany

OK, one more photo from Europe before I start a new series from California.  This week’s picture is from somewhere in North Eastern Germany, near the Polish border.  I call this one my Windows background image because it reminds me of the old stock backgrounds that used to come with Windows XP.

To get to the Czech Republic from Szczecin, Poland, our group took a train to Berlin and then from Berlin to Prague.  The trip from Szczecin to Berlin was filled with views like this one; rolling grain fields and wind farms.  I am always fascinated by giant windmills.  I think I’m impressed by how utterly huge they are and that the smallest wind can turn them.  As we coasted by, I decided to grab my camera and take some pictures… I definitely love this part of the world.
